MOTHERIST

Motherist is an experiment in creating art as a mother, among other mothers.

We want to move away from the question of whether or not mothers can be artists (because of course), and toward questions that we were asking ourselves. How did your art change when you had children? How do your children inform your art? How does being an artist inform your children? How can mothers work alongside one another, among their children, to make meaningful artwork? How has being a mother made you a stronger artist?
